Cooling, humidification and air
Cooling, Humidification & Air Systems
High-pressure mist cooling, industrial humidification and misting systems for factories, warehouses, textile mills, greenhouses and livestock areas, designed from the space, airflow, climate and water quality at each site.
Typical challenges
Where customers usually start
- Uncomfortable heat in production halls, sheds and outdoor work areas
- Low humidity causing static, breakage or quality problems in textile processes
- Humidity needs in greenhouses, cultivation rooms and storage
- Heat stress in animal and livestock housing
- Nozzle blockage and wet floors from poorly designed misting
- Existing humidification plant that needs servicing or spares
Evaporative cooling and humidity control
High-pressure misting forces water through small orifices to create fine droplets that evaporate quickly in air. Evaporation absorbs heat, lowering air temperature, and adds moisture, raising relative humidity. The same principle therefore serves two different needs: cooling hot working areas and outdoor spaces, and maintaining humidity in processes such as textile spinning and weaving, cultivation or storage of moisture-sensitive goods. It can also be used to pre-cool air entering condensers or for odour control. This capability covers mist cooling and humidification systems, high-pressure pumps, nozzles, tubing, filters and controllers, as well as commissioning, servicing and spare-parts support for humidification plant.
What determines whether misting will work
How much cooling or humidification is achievable depends heavily on the ambient conditions. Evaporation slows as air approaches saturation, so dry air allows more effect than humid air, and ventilation is needed to remove moist air in enclosed spaces. Space dimensions, airflow pattern, indoor or outdoor use, target temperature or humidity, water quality, drainage and the control strategy all need to be understood. Water treatment is often required to reduce scaling and nozzle blockage. These inputs are gathered through a site study before a system is sized.

Frequently asked questions
Does mist cooling work in humid climates?
Evaporative cooling depends on the air being able to absorb more moisture. When relative humidity is already high, evaporation slows and the achievable cooling falls, and good ventilation becomes more important. Local temperature and humidity data for the site are needed to judge whether misting is suitable for a particular application.
Why is water quality important for misting systems?
Misting nozzles have very small orifices. Dissolved salts and suspended solids can form scale or block nozzles and may leave deposits on surfaces. Filtration and, where needed, water treatment such as softening or reverse osmosis are often specified to protect the system and reduce maintenance.
What should I send for a cooling or humidification enquiry?
Send the application, space dimensions, indoor or outdoor use, current temperature and humidity, your target conditions, ventilation arrangement, water source and quality, available power and any drawings or photographs. Items you are unsure of can be confirmed during a site study.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
