Mist nozzles and anti-drip assemblies
Mist nozzles and anti-drip assemblies are the fine-orifice nozzles that atomise water in misting and fogging systems, in brass or stainless steel bodies with stainless or ceramic orifices and built-in anti-drip valves.

Overview
The nozzle determines droplet size and flow in a misting system. High-pressure mist and fog nozzles use small orifices, chosen to suit the application: finer orifices for indoor and humid-climate fogging, mid-size for outdoor dry areas and larger for high-flow industrial duties. Low-pressure nozzles have threaded connections and larger droplets. Bodies are brass or stainless steel, with stainless steel or ceramic orifices; ceramic resists wear. A spring-loaded anti-drip valve in the nozzle opens at a set pressure and closes when the pump stops, so lines do not drip. Springs are available for high-pressure and low-pressure systems. Nozzles are cleanable, and mineral deposits can be removed by soaking in a descaling solution.
Selecting mist nozzles
Consider system pressure, required flow per nozzle, climate and indoor or outdoor use, water quality, whether anti-drip is needed, body and orifice material, and the thread used on your misting line or fittings. For replacements, the existing nozzle thread and orifice size are the best starting point, and a sample helps confirm both.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the orifice size?
Smaller orifices give finer droplets and lower flow, and suit indoor and humid-climate fogging. Mid-size orifices suit outdoor misting in drier areas, and larger orifices suit high-flow industrial duties. System pressure and pump capacity also limit how many nozzles of a given size a line can supply.
What should I specify when ordering replacement nozzles?
State the orifice size, thread, body material, orifice material and whether an anti-drip valve is required and for which pressure range. A sample or photograph of the existing nozzle helps confirm the thread and fit, particularly when nozzles are going into an existing line.
