Water and wastewater
Water and wastewater operations need treatment plants that match the incoming water, dependable flow and level measurement, and monitoring across sites. We support treatment, reuse, instrumentation and control.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Variable feed water and effluent quality
- Meeting outlet quality for discharge or reuse
- Flow measurement on raw water and effluent lines
- Level monitoring in tanks, sumps and wells
- Visibility of remote pumping and treatment sites
- Odour around sewage and effluent treatment
Treatment, measurement and monitoring
Industrial and municipal operators deal with variable raw water, sewage and effluent loads, tightening discharge expectations and growing pressure to recycle water. Plant selection depends on the feed characteristics and the outlet quality required, so analysis comes before design.
Flow measurement on raw water, treated water and effluent lines, level monitoring in tanks and wells, and remote visibility of pumping and treatment stations are common needs. Odour around sewage and effluent works is another frequent issue.
First steps
Share the source and analysis of the water, the daily flow, the required outlet quality, reject or sludge handling constraints, and the site layout. For instrumentation, give the medium, pipe size, range and signal or communication needs.
Typical use cases
- Sewage and effluent treatment plants
- Water recycling and reuse systems
- Ultrafiltration and RO stages
- Electromagnetic and ultrasonic flow meters
- Hydrostatic level transmitters and water-level recorders
- SCADA and remote monitoring
- Odour control misting

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from water and wastewater sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
Which flow meter suits a wastewater line?
Electromagnetic meters are widely used on conductive liquids such as wastewater because they have no moving parts in the flow; clamp-on ultrasonic meters suit some retrofit cases. The choice depends on conductivity, solids, pipe size, whether the pipe runs full and the accuracy needed. Share those details and we will advise.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
