Power generation
Thermal and other power plants need reliable instrument connections, steam and water measurement, treated boiler-feed water and dust control in fuel handling. We work across those areas with components, instrumentation and engineered systems.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Dust in coal and biomass handling plants
- Instrument hook-ups on high-temperature steam lines
- Scaling and deposits from untreated boiler-feed and cooling water
- Accurate pressure, level and flow measurement
- Ageing controls and drives on auxiliary plant
Typical needs in power generation
Coal and biomass handling — wagon or truck unloading, crusher houses and conveyor transfers — is a major dust source. On the steam and water side, plants depend on instrument hook-ups with gauge root valves, manifolds, condensate pots and thermowells, all of which must suit the line pressure and temperature. Boiler-feed and cooling water need pre-treatment such as softening and RO to control scaling and deposits.
Each of these is a different conversation: some are component orders against a known specification, others need a site or water assessment first.
What to send
For instrument components: line pressure and temperature, medium (steam, water, oil, gas), connection sizes and material. For water treatment: a recent feed water analysis, required flow and the quality target. For dust: the handling point, material, enclosure and utilities.
Typical use cases
- Dust suppression at crusher houses and conveyor transfers
- Condensate pots, gauge root valves and valve manifolds for instrument lines
- Thermowells for temperature measurement
- Pressure transmitters and level instruments
- RO plants and softeners for boiler-feed and cooling water
- SCADA and process monitoring

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from power plant sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
Why is a feed water analysis needed before quoting an RO or softening plant?
Pre-treatment, membrane selection, recovery and chemical dosing all depend on what is in the feed water — hardness, silica, iron, chlorides, suspended solids and more. Without a recent analysis, any design is a guess. If you do not have one, we can discuss a water-quality assessment as the first step.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
