Pipe fittings and flanges
Pipe fittings and flanges for process and utility piping, from butt-weld and forged fittings to slip-on, weld-neck, blind and threaded flanges, in stainless, carbon, duplex and other alloy steels.

Overview
Pipe fittings change direction, branch the flow, change diameter or close a line: elbows, tees, wyes, crosses, reducers, couplings, unions, caps and plugs. They are supplied as butt-weld fittings for larger welded lines, forged socket-weld and threaded fittings for small bore, and OD tube or NB pipe fittings with threaded ends. Flanges allow pipework and equipment to be bolted together and dismantled. The range includes slip-on raised-face, weld-neck, blind, threaded, socket-weld, lap-joint and split flanges, made to customer drawings or to ASME, EN and JIS dimensional standards. Push-in tube fittings and beaded hose fittings are also available.
Selecting pipe fittings and flanges
Start with the piping specification: nominal size, wall schedule or pressure class, material grade and end connection. For flanges, also state the dimensional standard, facing (raised or flat face) and bolt pattern. Material follows the media and temperature; duplex and other alloys are considered for chlorides or aggressive chemicals.

Frequently asked questions
What information is needed to quote for flanges?
State the flange type (weld-neck, slip-on, blind and so on), nominal size, pressure class or PN rating, dimensional standard, facing, material grade, and the bore or schedule for weld-neck types. Add quantities and any inspection or documentation requirements. You can request material test certificates with the supply.
When are butt-weld fittings preferred over forged socket-weld fittings?
Butt-weld fittings are typical for larger pipe sizes and where a smooth, full-penetration weld and full bore are wanted. Forged socket-weld and threaded fittings are typical for small-bore lines where fit-up is simpler. The piping specification for your project usually defines which to use at each size.
