Chemical and petrochemical
Chemical and petrochemical plants handle corrosive and hazardous media where material choice and leak-tight connections matter. We supply instrument fittings, valves, hoses and instrumentation, and support effluent treatment and process automation.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Corrosion of fittings, valves and tubing by process media
- Leak-tight instrument and sampling connections
- Isolation and venting of instruments for maintenance
- Instrument selection for hazardous areas
- Treatment of process effluent before discharge or reuse
- Monitoring distributed process units
Material compatibility and containment
Instrument and sampling lines in chemical plants carry acids, solvents, chlorides and gases that attack the wrong alloy or elastomer. Compression fittings, needle valves, block-and-bleed assemblies and hoses all need to be chosen for the specific medium, concentration and temperature, and in some services a special alloy or PTFE-lined hose is the practical answer.
Instruments in these plants may need to suit hazardous areas, and effluent streams need treatment before discharge or reuse. Control systems tie the process together and benefit from consistent monitoring.
Specifying for chemical service
Tell us the medium and concentration, pressure, temperature, required material and any hazardous-area classification. We do not assume suitability: material and certification requirements must be confirmed for each line.
Typical use cases
- Double-ferrule instrumentation tube fittings
- Special-alloy fittings and flanges
- PTFE hose assemblies for aggressive media
- Needle valves, valve manifolds and double block-and-bleed assemblies
- Pressure transmitters and Coriolis flow meters
- Effluent treatment plants
- SCADA and process monitoring

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from chemical plant sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
How do I choose a material for fittings in corrosive service?
Start from the medium, its concentration, temperature and any chlorides or contaminants, then check compatibility data for the candidate alloys and seal materials. Stainless steel suits many services but not all. Share the full process conditions and we will tell you what materials and documentation can be offered for that duty.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
