Cement and aggregates
Cement and aggregate plants handle fine, dry material from quarry to packing, and many of those materials must stay dry. We help with dust suppression, conveyor automation, fabricated steelwork and workspace cooling.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Fine dust at crushers, transfer points and packing plants
- Materials that cannot tolerate added moisture
- Dust during bulk loading of trucks and wagons
- Quarry, stockpile and haul road dust
- Hot working areas near kilns and packing
- Wear and maintenance on conveyor systems
Dust where moisture is not welcome
Limestone crushing, raw material transfers, clinker handling, cement packing and truck loading all release fine dust. Unlike some bulk materials, cement and its intermediates often cannot take much added water, which rules out heavy wetting and pushes the choice towards low-moisture approaches such as dry fog at enclosed points, combined with good enclosure of transfer chutes.
Open quarry areas, stockpiles and haul roads are a different case, where sprinklers, cannons or wheel washing may be more suitable. Packing plants and kiln areas can also be very hot workspaces.
Starting an enquiry
Tell us the material at each dust point, its moisture limits, the throughput, how enclosed the point is, and the water and compressed air available. We treat any proposal as provisional until site conditions are confirmed.
Typical use cases
- Dry fog suppression at enclosed transfer and crusher points
- Crusher and screening dust suppression
- Dust control at bulk loading and unloading points
- Stockyard sprinklers and wheel washing
- Conveyor and material-handling automation
- Fabricated chutes, hoods and support structures
- Spray system maintenance and spares

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from cement sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
Can water-based dust suppression be used on cement?
Only with care. Many cement-plant materials have tight moisture limits, so the amount of water added and where it lands matter. Low-moisture methods at well-enclosed points are usually assessed first. The material, process stage and acceptable moisture need to be confirmed with your process team before any system is designed.
