Steel and metals
Steel plants combine dusty raw-material handling, heavy hydraulics, hot working areas and large water circuits. We supply fittings, valves and instrumentation, dust and heat control, water treatment and automation for these environments.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Leaks and failures in high-pressure hydraulic lines
- Dust from raw material handling and transfer points
- Heat stress in furnace, casting and rolling areas
- Scaling in cooling and boiler-feed water circuits
- Reliable flow and pressure measurement on cooling water
- Ageing drives and controls on mill equipment
Process challenges in steel and metals
Raw material yards and conveyors handling ore, coal, coke and fluxes generate dust. Rolling mills and presses depend on high-pressure hydraulic circuits, where leaks and fitting failures cause downtime. Furnace and casting areas create heat stress for people working nearby, and cooling and boiler water circuits need treatment to limit scaling.
Many of these needs are component-level: the right tube fitting, flange, clamp or valve for a hydraulic line, or a transmitter for a cooling-water loop. Others, such as dust suppression or workspace cooling, need a site assessment first.
Working with us
For components, send the line size, pressure, temperature, medium, connection type and material. For engineered systems, describe the area, the operating conditions and the utilities available, and we will propose the next step.
Typical use cases
- Hydraulic tube fittings, SAE flanges and tube clamps
- High-pressure tube fittings and valves for instrument lines
- Dust suppression at conveyors and raw material yards
- Spot and area mist cooling for hot work zones
- Water softening and RO for cooling and boiler-feed water
- Flow and pressure instrumentation on water circuits
- Drive and motor retrofits

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from steel plant sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
What information do you need to quote hydraulic fittings and flanges?
Tube or pipe outside diameter and wall thickness, working pressure, temperature, the hydraulic fluid, end connection type, material and quantity. If you need material test certificates or a particular standard, say so in the enquiry so we can confirm what documentation can be supplied with the parts.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
