Paper and pulp
Paper and pulp mills use large volumes of water, run many spray and cleaning duties, and need stable humidity where paper is converted and stored. We help with water and effluent treatment, spray nozzles, humidification and instrumentation.
Process challenges
Common challenges on site
- Process water and effluent treatment
- Blocked or worn spray nozzles on showers and cleaning duties
- Humidity-related static and dimensional changes in converting areas
- Flow measurement of stock and process water
- Corrosion in wet process areas
Water, spray and humidity
Mills depend on process water treatment and effluent treatment, and on spray nozzles for showers, cleaning and trimming duties where blocked or worn nozzles affect the product. Stock and water flows need dependable measurement.
In converting and storage areas, low relative humidity can contribute to static, curl and dimensional changes in paper and board, so humidification is often considered. Stainless-steel fabrication supports process equipment modifications.
Making an enquiry
For spray duties, tell us the liquid, pressure, required pattern and spacing. For humidification, the area, current and target conditions, ventilation and water quality. For water treatment, the feed analysis, flow and target.
Typical use cases
- Flat fan, full cone and tank cleaning nozzles
- Industrial humidification in converting and storage areas
- Water filtration and effluent treatment plants
- Electromagnetic flow meters
- Stainless-steel component fabrication
- Drives and controls

Frequently asked questions
Can EKA Synergy share references from paper mill sites?
Verified project references are shared on request, where the customer has agreed to it. Tell us about your plant and the problem you are working on, and we will tell you what relevant experience and documentation we can make available before you commit to anything.
What details are needed to select a spray nozzle?
The liquid being sprayed, available pressure, required flow, spray pattern and angle, distance to the target, and the connection size and material. If nozzles currently block or wear quickly, mention the water quality and any filtration, as a strainer may be needed alongside the nozzle.
Bring what you know. We’ll help structure the rest.
Share a part number, a drawing or simply the problem. Unknowns are fine — an engineer will review your enquiry.
