Industrial stainless-steel filter housings
Stainless-steel cartridge filter housings in SS 304, SS 316 and SS 316L for water, chemical, beverage and pharmaceutical service, from single-element units to custom jacketed and multi-element vessels.

Overview
Stainless-steel housings are chosen where plastic housings are unsuitable because of pressure, temperature, chemical exposure or hygiene. SS 304 is used for general service, while SS 316 or 316L is chosen for corrosive or high-purity duty. Housings come as single-cartridge, multi-cartridge and sanitary tri-clamp designs, with clamp, swing-bolt or threaded closures, polished interiors, sanitary welds and drain and vent ports.
Custom housings can include jacketing for steam, hot oil or glycol, sample ports, sloped drains, sensors and automatic vents, with designs reviewed as 3D models before fabrication and hydrostatic testing.
Selecting a stainless-steel housing
Choose the grade from the fluid's corrosiveness and purity requirement, then size the housing from flow rate, cartridge length and number of elements. Confirm design pressure and temperature, closure type for change-out frequency, seal material for chemical compatibility, surface finish and connection standard. For hygienic plants, check CIP and SIP compatibility.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose SS 304 or SS 316L?
SS 304 is suited to general water and non-aggressive liquids. SS 316 and 316L contain molybdenum, which improves resistance to chlorides and many chemicals, and the low-carbon 316L is commonly chosen for welded hygienic equipment. Share the fluid composition, chloride level, temperature and cleaning regime to confirm the grade.
What documents can be requested with a stainless-steel housing?
You can request general arrangement drawings, material test reports for pressure parts, weld records and hydrostatic test reports, and surface-finish details for hygienic units. Agree the documents you need at enquiry stage so they are included in the scope and inspection plan.
