Industrial control-panel systems

Industrial control panels that house PLCs, drives, switchgear, power supplies and accessories in one enclosure, built to the machine's or plant's control requirements and wired for installation on site.

Overview

A control panel brings together the electrical, control and communication components that run a machine or process: incoming isolation and protection, motor starters or drives, PLC and I/O, HMI, power supplies, relays, terminals and network devices. Good panel design considers heat dissipation, segregation of power and signal wiring, labelling and access for maintenance. Panels are built for applications such as motor control, machine control and process automation, and are supplied with drawings for installation and maintenance.

Specifying a control panel

Provide the load list and motor details, the control requirements and I/O, communication needs, incoming supply, the installation environment and enclosure protection required, and any space or mounting limits. Agree preferred component makes, wiring and labelling standards, and testing and documentation before build.

Frequently asked questions

What do you need to quote a control panel?

Send the load list with motor ratings and starting methods, the I/O count or control description, the incoming supply details, any preferred makes for major components, the installation location and its environment, and any size limits. Single-line diagrams or existing drawings speed up the quotation.

What documents can be requested with a panel?

You can request the general arrangement drawing, schematic and wiring diagrams, bill of materials, terminal schedule, and test records from pre-dispatch checks. Agree the list at order stage so documentation is prepared during the build. Component datasheets and manuals for major items can also be included in the handover package.

Ready to specify industrial control-panel systems?

Send the details you have — quantities, sizes, drawings or a part number. Unknowns are fine.
